¹ Broncos equipped with the 360 Degree Camera option will need our camera relocation bracket (see related products below) to minimize front camera view obstruction from the winch and/or prerunner tube work (when equipped.)
2 Works with ACC when using the JCR ACC Relocation Bracket (see related products below)
3 Does not fit Bronco Sport.
Listed weights are with no tubing; prerunner tube work adds roughly 15 lbs in steel, 10lbs in aluminum.

Q
gwgeneral • 04/25/2022, 4:00:16 PM
Will new bumper interfere with Ford copilot 360 technology ? I am not sure where the sensors are for 360. I do NOT have have adaptive cruise control but do have 360 degree camera capability and front proximity sensors. With pre-runner bar does camera need to be relocated, I will not have the winch just the pre-runner bar ?
A
04/25/2022, 4:59:26 PM
The pre-runner bar will not block the camera view, but will be visible in the front camera view at the edges of the frame.
Q
gwgeneral • 04/25/2022, 4:39:03 PM
Is Ford CoPilot 360 collision warning and automatic breaking affected when new bumper is installed ? Or is that handled by the proximity sensors getting relocated into new bumper .. I have an Outer Banks with sensors in the bumper currently. Not sure if the square large panel in the button center of the bumper is being used since I do not have adaptive cruise control.. not sure if that is used for collision warning and auto braking.. I do have the High Package.
A
04/26/2022, 9:52:29 AM
Without the LUX package and adaptive cruise, that will just be an empty box. You will just need to relocate the proximity sensors in the bumper to the new bumper. The rest of the functions are handled by the camera in the windshield.
Q
JD • 05/18/2022, 0:00:23 AM
Which is the Baja and which is the prerunner bar? A previous question doesn't explain which is which
A
05/18/2022, 2:26:44 PM
The Prerunner is the mid height bar, with side tubes. The Baja is lower and has no side tubes.
Q
Brian Brunow • 06/30/2022, 10:10:07 AM
how does the strength compare between the steel and aluminum bumper, i see that the Aluminum is thicker but half the weight, but what about the strength. Which one will be more durable?
A
06/30/2022, 12:28:01 PM
The steel option will be strongest/most durable. If weight is a big concern and you are only doing lighter wheeling, aluminum might be the way to go.
Q
Alex Brown • 08/01/2022, 10:20:48 PM
What are the dimensions of the winch cradle? I have an X-Bull 13k winch and I want to be sure it will fit before purchasing.
A
08/15/2022, 4:04:06 PM
It will fit.
Q
Eric • 08/17/2022, 6:30:07 PM
What size winches are compatible with this bumper? Up to 12k? and are there limitations to the aluminum version?
A
08/23/2022, 2:01:59 PM
We do our testing with 8K and 10K winches. Many 12k winches share a similar footprint, however.
Q
Gabe • 10/07/2022, 12:53:23 PM
Dumb question, but I drive in areas with lots of deer. Would the bull bar or prerunner actually survive an impact at highway speeds? I expect damage but need to make it home.
A
10/11/2022, 4:57:12 PM
Any bar would certainly help your chances of a drivable vehicle after an animal impact, but we have no way of saying for certain that will 100% be the case with every impact.
Q
ERNEST LAMOUNTAIN • 10/27/2022, 11:02:09 AM
Is the aluminum bumper strong enough to use a winch for recovery with out damaging the bumper?
A
11/03/2022, 12:31:33 PM
Yes.
Q
Ken Schulte • 11/01/2022, 2:53:06 PM
Will the Vanguard bumper fit on the BRaptor?
Does bumper change OEM approach angle?
A
11/03/2022, 1:04:20 PM
It will fit the Bronco Raptor yes. It does stick out further to accommodate the winch, so that changes the approach angle, yes. If you don't need the winch, check out our Crusader bumper for a closer fit to the grille.
Q
Ryan • 11/18/2022, 6:08:43 PM
Does it come with the lights or are they sold separately?
A
11/28/2022, 10:35:43 AM
They are sold separately.
Q
Chris • 12/26/2022, 4:14:44 PM
Which foglight and mounting set do you recommend or use with your Vanguard number? Does the mounting bolts for your bill bar interfere with mounting the fog lights?
A
01/03/2023, 2:56:24 PM
No, the bolts don't interfere. We like the Baja Designs Squadron Sports as shown here: https://www.jcroffroad.com/product/5578XX.html
Q
stephen • 01/10/2023, 6:11:28 AM
will the vangurd front bumper adapt to be flat towed with blue ox tow bar system at tow points?
A
01/20/2023, 5:22:05 PM
We haven't tested it at the shop, but as long as the tow bar will adapt to the d-ring mounts, it should work fine. We usually recommend your safety chains go directly to the frame of the vehicle.
Q
Bob • 03/01/2023, 6:13:54 PM
What is the diameter of the holes for the parking sensors?
A
03/13/2023, 4:14:43 PM
1.25"
Q
Joseph • 03/02/2023, 9:21:39 PM
Has the prerunner bar been modified to sit higher than the Bronco lettering, similar to the crusader tube work?
A
03/13/2023, 4:49:56 PM
The pre-runner is as shown in the photos on both bumpers. Yes, it's taller on the Crusader.
Q
Jared • 04/20/2023, 1:25:38 PM
Will this bumper house a BADLAND APEX™ 12000lb?
A
05/01/2023, 11:44:54 AM
Yes.
Q
David • 05/03/2023, 3:30:06 PM
I really like this bumper simply for the winch and it’ll match my Vanguard rear bumper BUT there’s not much room for lights. What do you recommend or have to mount lights onto the prerunner bar?
A
05/08/2023, 3:26:42 PM
We like the Baja Designs Squadron Pro in the bumper for max output. But yes, you can install tube clamps and light mounts on the pre-runner bar as well.
Q
Richard White • 05/23/2023, 12:37:20 PM
I have a 4 door Lux Package. Will this bumper with the Prerunner tubes and winch work with the front camera, parking sensors and adaptive cruise control? Will I need to purchase relocation kits and if I do, can you provide part numbers?
A
05/24/2023, 10:45:51 AM
The parking sensors would relocate into our bumper, however you would want to use our ACC relocation kit and camera relocation kit with that bumper.
Q
Barry Beckemeyer • 08/02/2023, 5:40:53 PM
What is the diameter of the the pre runner bars for clamp on light mounts?
A
08/03/2023, 2:44:30 PM
The tube work is 1.75" in diameter.
Q
Christian krutsch • 10/28/2023, 7:40:24 PM
Do you have this bumper without park sensors? I don’t believe or base has parking sensors.
A
11/08/2023, 11:49:58 AM
We only offer an option with cut-outs for the sensors, however we also include plugs for those holes for Broncos that do not have parking sensors.
Q
Christopher Bailey • 11/09/2023, 7:51:26 PM
Will this work with your aluminum skid plate?
A
11/10/2023, 10:56:58 AM
Yes, this works with all of our skid plate options.
Q
Mark Waugh • 12/22/2023, 7:39:26 PM
Are the D-ring mounts welded to the flat iron only or are they gusseted and bolted to frame for flat towing behind RV? or are the D-rings approved for flat towing?
A
01/22/2024, 5:38:38 PM
The d-rings are double welded on both the outer and inner face of the bumper. They are not officially rated for a certain amount, but have found that towing has not been an issue.
Q
Jack Calve • 12/25/2023, 1:28:53 PM
I have 37 inch tires, will this work with those or will I need to cut the bumper??
A
01/22/2024, 5:27:09 PM
Yes, that would fit just fine.
Q
Kane • 12/31/2023, 10:07:25 PM
Can you flat tow with this bumper from the shackles?
A
01/22/2024, 5:23:49 PM
Sure, you could use d-ring adaptors to attach a tow bar.
Q
Najib Ramli • 02/25/2024, 0:34:09 AM
Does it work with Bronco Raptor factory skid?
A
03/01/2024, 10:08:14 AM
Yes, this bumper will work with the factory Raptor skid plate. For the Raptor R, you will only use the back portion.
Q
Phil • 05/08/2024, 2:40:33 PM
Has anyone checked the fitment of the Badlands Apex? Another brand, I will not name, has a high winch mount that does not fit a Badlands winch.
A
05/20/2024, 3:03:56 PM
Dimensionally it looks smaller than the Warn Zeon that we show in the pictures, so it should fit just fine.
Q
Cody • 05/29/2024, 9:07:37 PM
What tubework is shown in the installation video?
A
06/20/2024, 5:20:54 PM
The blue Bronco shows our Pre-Runner tubework. The red Bronco shows a discontinued tube that is no longer offered.
Q
Austin • 11/25/2024, 10:36:19 PM
Currently have the pre runner on my factory bumper but smoked a deer last night and the pre runner survived but not the bumper haha Can it be re-bolted onto the vanguard or is that a different style?
A
12/20/2024, 1:03:09 PM
It cannot, the tubes are different.

The vanguard bumper is quality and super heavy duty. Install went well watching the great video. My only issue is that the relocation bracket install is not mentioned in bumper install video. As a result, you either have to take bumper completely off again (big pain) or do as I did and remove lower skid plate and figure out how to get the clips popped off from underneath. Overall, great product.
Note From JcrOffroad: Thanks for the review, Bret.

Nice bumper. Fit with no issues. My only complaint would be the hardware for the center cover. Supplied were clip on style nuts that definitely wouldn't work. too small to clip on the thick area there and also wrong length. I replaced with some nicer class 8 bolts and nuts. Mounted some 3" leds in light cut-outs. Looks pretty good! I also got the ARB skid plate package and it worked perfectly with this bumper. It tucks up right under the lower edge of this bumper and leaves zero gap. Very pleased about that!

This bumper is awesome. Very heavy duty and super easy to install (especially with the helpful install video). JCR indicated a long lead time, but mine was delivered super quick (within weeks as compared to several months as I had expected). I had some minor issue because the shipping carrier (no names mentioned) caused a little damage to it during delivery. But JCR had packed the product very well, and they were super reactive in getting back to me to address my (minor) concerns. I have nothing but great things to say about the bumper and JCR. I'd definitely order from them again.

Absolutely great bumper and easy to install yourself if you watch the video.

I ordered the Vanguard bumper in aluminum to save significant weight. I installed the bumper and a Warn VR Evo 12S winch, with Factor 55 Ultrahook. The first time I retracted the winch rope in order to pull the Ultrahook tight against the fairlead, it significantly bent the part of the bumper that the fairlead attaches to. I was shocked that it bent so much with relatively minor force needed to hold the Ultrahook securely against the fairlead. I would definitely advise against paying the significant extra price to get the bumper in aluminum. I'm quite concerned if I ever have to actually winch myself or someone else with this bumper.
Note From JcrOffroad: Troy, sorry to hear you had issues with your bumper. Any material is capable of bending in this way as the fairlead mount isn't meant to take the force of a winch pulling the hook more than snug. In a recovery situation, the fairlead is meant to direct the cable with perhaps some load up, down, or side to side with an off-center pull. The only time we see this much back force on a fairlead is when cinching the cable. Please reach out to our tech support team if we can be of further assistance on this.
