Ford rates the Bronco roof with a factory rack at "Max load 110 lbs dynamic and 450 lbs static evenly distributed." Our rack itself can handle significantly more weight than that, and we've had 250 lbs dynamic weight on it without issue, static capacity is certainly well above that. All these weights will be at your discretion as they are above Ford "recommended" capacities. If you need more information please contact us directly at info@jcroffroad.com
Please note: vehicle will handle and wheel very differently with high loads on the roof. We recommend securing kayaks, canoes, and items that may generate resistance or lift at speed properly to the front and rear of the vehicle, not just the rack.
Full Rack Weight:
4 Door - 62lbs
2 Door - 52lbs

Yes, you can.

What are the dimensions of the rack for the 4 door? Full rack and half rack dimensions would be great.
A

A diagram can be found at the end of each installation document. The full rack is about 47" x 100". The short rack is about 47" x 37".

I'm not sure I want to cut the outer cap to fit in the front brackets, it would look odd if I removed the rack. Do they need to be used?
A
06/06/2022, 12:30:12 PM
You could leave the caps off.
Q

Q
peter tolcser • 07/14/2022, 5:49:38 AM
i want to put a kayak on top. what are the dimensions of the crossbars? will one of those gray, foam, kayak cradles fit around the crossbars?
A
07/21/2022, 7:07:01 PM
The crossbars are 2" x 1" we haven't tried any of the foam cradles at the shop yet. Most universal mounts work fine. We have tested the Yakima Jaylow on our bars and it does clamp if you remove the rubber inserts.
Q
Dave • 08/05/2022, 7:39:10 AM
What is the full length of the rack? How many slats are there and what is the distance between slats?
A
08/15/2022, 4:06:24 PM
9 slats, 10" on center between crossbars, roughly 94" long on top.
Q
Joe • 08/08/2022, 4:26:55 PM
What is the ease of taking your rack off? If I want to go topless I want to know how difficult it is to remove and how long it will take?
A
08/15/2022, 4:17:04 PM
You can unbolt the rack from the windshield, leaving the rack on the hardtop, and remove it like normal as a unit.
Q
Christopher • 08/09/2022, 2:47:53 PM
If i buy the full rack for the 4 door bronco, can i switch between using a full rack and the back rack.
A
08/11/2022, 9:05:05 AM
Yes!
Q
Wade Rowley • 02/21/2023, 6:18:39 PM
If I purchase the 2 door full rack, can I convert that as well to a 1/2 rack?
A
02/23/2023, 1:50:18 PM
It wouldn't include the short rack fairing, but you could certainly just run without it.
Q
Shierei Huang • 02/24/2023, 1:06:37 PM
Is the short back rack part ic the full rack? Can I purchase install the back half rack first and then purchase and add the front portion of the rack later?
A
03/13/2023, 4:14:43 PM
The short rack has a different front fairing than the long rack. At this point we don't sell all the parts separately. You could buy the full rack, and run it as a short rack without a fairing, however.
Q

I have a KC 50in Pro 6 light system on my bronco and was wondering if there’s a way to mount it to the rack or if there’s plans to come up with a way to mount it in the future?
A
05/01/2023, 12:14:19 PM
No plans for a solution for that. It's likely possible by modifying the front fairing, but it's not something we have done.
Q
DC gabriel • 07/29/2023, 2:09:28 AM
will this support the OVS 270 awning? 70 lbs, comes with 3 heavy duty mounting brackets.
A
08/03/2023, 3:25:35 PM
Load at your discretion, but it should handle the weight just fine once securely mounted.
Q
Bj Whittaker • 12/06/2023, 7:25:22 PM
I have a dv8 40inch curved light bar and was wondering if this roof rack would be able to work with it.
A
12/07/2023, 11:06:33 AM
Our rack is designed to accept straight light bars rather than curved.
Q
Michael • 08/20/2024, 8:51:50 AM
I see you offer T-bolts but I need some that are longer. What bolt dimensions do I need to fit in the crossbar slot?
A
12/20/2024, 4:59:23 PM
Any stud that is compatible with 80/20 10-series will work, or you can use t-nuts and simply source whatever length 1/4-20 bolt you need.

This is not a product review, but a customer service review....After waiting the typical 3 weeks for the rack to ship, the wrong parts were in the box. It took a week for the issue to be resolved and only after I prodded them for updates. Still waiting on the correct parts a month after they took my money.
I will leave a product review when I actual receive the correct product.
Yes, I realize you won't post this as your company filters your reviews...but this is what I will post everywhere else.
Note From JcrOffroad: Jonnie, we apologize for initially shipping the wrong part; the correct one should be en route. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with on the installation.
