Can one of the sliders bare the weight of the entire car?

The lights used in our sliders are 12v, 5 watts per light. 900 lumens at 6000K

Will drilling a hole in the frame to mount these, lead to possible rust issues in the future?

That's not an issue that we've noticed with thread cutters. Any other drilled holes using nut/bolts will need to be touched up before installing the hardware.
