How does this plate mount into the rack. Does it only slide in to the side of the extrusion or does is actually bolt into the bar somehow. Do you happen to have a picture or an installation guide PDF available?

I bought a plastic fuel can with 2 locks from eBay. My XJ only has 2 aftermarket crossbars on factory rails & I'd like to mount the gas tank up there. Is there a chance your roof rack accessory mount would do the trick? Not sure the bolt pattern on those locks, you could always drill our plate (or the mounts) if needed.

I bought this mount and am using a Rotopax fuel can. However the holes are not lining up with the Rotopax mount provided. Your YouTube video shows a Rotopax mount. What holes were used?

They are designed to mount standard Rotopax mounts (without the baseplate).
