Is it possible to mount these to the rear bumper so you’re not attaching them to the thin sheet metal on the body? I know there may be some adjustments or additional cuts/drilling required but I think it would be starting our provide more protection

wondering how the fitment is with bushwacker flat style fender flares? will they fit under the flares? i’d rather not cut the flares.

You'll likely need to modify one or the other slightly to fit nicely together.

I had to trim them down to fit my Notch flares and drill new holes and then had them powder coated to match my JCR bumper. I only wish they made a set for the lower doors to match. I want to buy extra fasteners if that is possible? The whole XJ would be JCR if it was possible - Have a roof rack and vanguard rear bumper. The next thing is sliders. I wish there was a package deal to get everything at one time, front, rear, sliders, and rack.

I ordered these after I trimmed my rear fender flares/corner bumps and revealed the only small rust holes in my XJs 15 year old body. They were extremely easy to install, I did it by myself in a matter of a haf hour or so and they have been amazing. They are thick enough to protect your rear yet not too heavy. I would definitely recommend this armor to everyone!

Absolutley stunning words can't even describe how amazing this product is. It fit right up with my body line with no room to spare and let me tell you it makes my XJ's rear end look 20 times meaner. Absolutley love it and 10/10 would recommend.

Great product for 1/4 protection or to hide some rust. Either way, you won't be disappointed. Much thicker metal than I had expected amd very straight forward install. Really accents my bumpers!!

Purchased these quite awhile ago and just got around to installing them. Panels are awesome and pretty straight forward to mount. Problem is the mounting bolts started to rust within 2 weeks time...NOT GOOD! Figured they were black alloy, but not the case. This is kind of a big deal! Rusty bolts look like a$$. Not sure what to do now. Going to contact them to find out what their solution is. This is the 2nd product from them that I am not happy with. First being the rear bumper/spare tire latch down mechanism.

Nice and thick but required cutting off almost half the armor to fit my Bushwhacker flairs. Slightly disappointed i had to countersink my own holes when they have a supposed "new design". These were honestly more work than the bumper and carrier and all the stuff that goes with that. Does the job but be prepared to do a lot of work to make them fit if not using stock flairs.
